Multiculturalism Day

June 27th is the day commemorated to celebrate the different cultures represented in our community, to affirm equality and mutual respect. Visit us at Memorial Peace Park every year to celebrate with performers, food trucks and more.

Diwali

Diwali is one of the many celebrated events in the South Asian calendar. We partner up with The Maple Ridge Public Library, Ridge Meadows South Asian Cultural Society, The Family Education & Support Centre and Building Interfaith Bridges to celebrate this holiday every year.

Las Posadas

Highly celebrated in Mexico, we take a journey with Mary and Joseph to find a birthplace for baby Jesus. We partnered up with The Maple Ridge Public Library, St. Patrick's Parish, The Family Education & Support Centre, Nahualli Folklore Society and brought the spirit of Christmas to the community. Lupitas kindly donated churros and we had a pinata.

Capoeira & Maracatu

We partnered with The Maple Ridge Public Library and The Family Education & Support Centre to bring a little bit of Brazil to our community. Brazilian Swag showcased some traditional mixed martial arts and dance.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

On September 30th we honour the children who survived the residential schools and those who did not, on this day we wear orange to raise awareness of this big tragedy and show our respect to families and communities who have suffered.

BC Spokes

BC Spokes is part of a multi-faceted, province wide approach in identifying and challenging racism. Spokes groups connect communities with information, supports and training

Migrant Workers
